GROWTH HORMONE

A number of listeners have phoned asking if they should take human growth hormone injections to slow the ageing process.

The answer is - NO – don’t do it – the side effects are too severe, such as:
Diabetes
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Fluid retention
Joint pain

Instead of taking growth hormone see your doctor for a script for

DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone).

DHEA is an intermediate substance made by the adrenal glands from which human growth hormone is made. Like growth hormone DHEA declines with natural ageing as the adrenal glands become tired and under-produce it.

By taking DHEA the body will make only as much growth hormone as it needs and not in quantities that will cause imbalances in the body’s other hormones.

Only take DHEA if you are low in it. People under 40-45 usually aren’t. Get your doctor to do a blood test for DHEA levels. If you are low ask him for a script for 30 mg troches which will be made up by a compounding chemist only.

  • Take one 30mg DHEA troche dissolved under the tongue or in the cheek five days per week only. Have 2 days off,

One 30mg troche 5 days per week is enough to restore DHEA to youthful levels which in turn will raise growth hormone levels naturally. Testesterone is also made from DHEA but only in quantities needed by the body. This is beneficial to both men and women.
